The spring and Autumn high tides bring with them an abundance of driftwood.
Suitable wood is gathered, cleaned and stored to dry.
The wood is cut to size and tastefully shaped to enhance it's natural beauty.
It is then sanded and smoothed to a silky finish.

The finished article

Each frame is unique as there are so many different types of wood that wash up on the shore. Some dark hardwoods will complement a sunset image where a bleached white frame may be better suited to a daytime beach scene.

Driftwood Frames

The process from beginning to end is fairly time consuming and you never quite know how the finished article will look.

There is all kinds of driftwood that gets washed up on our shores but to get matching wood for a whole frame can be a bit tricky.
